The 3rd valve slide has a trigger, rather than the more common finger ring found on most of today's instruments. Everything works as it should - ALL the slides are free, and the valves are fast and quiet. The bell is inscribed "INVICTA distributed by SELMER London, Foreign" which indicates that this trumpet was made for Selmer outside the UK, most probably in France. It has a silver bell, while the rest of the instrument is lacquered. As for the trumpet itself, it really is in lovely condition.

Disappointingly, the guarantee, although it has the serial number on it, isn't dated which is why we can't be certain of the date of manufacture.

The trumpet was like a time capsule - it came in the original Selmer case (still in very good condition) with a load of old music (pretty crumpled as it's been folded and kept in the case) plus the original Selmer Guarantee (which was for an impressive 10 years).
